At Yama we’ve endeavored to create an unprecedented and unique dining experience unlike any other in Steamboat Springs. We have sourced the best ingredients we can from many purveyors all over the world. Our fish and shellfish are flown in almost daily from Hawaii, Japan, Maine, and Alaska. Our beef is one of a kind grown right over Buffalo pass in Walden, CO. Our vegetables are cultivated in the beautiful Steamboat Springs valley by farmers who share our philosophy of sustainability and quality.

By applying cutting edge cooking techniques, artfully blended with classic cooking methods including the use of traditional Japanese live coals, we’ve strived to create a menu and atmosphere that embodies the simple yet exquisite flavor profiles of traditional Japanese cuisine, while employing a modern approach to our food.
